on goals from James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Nacho.
It was just what Los Merengues needed after losing against Atletico
Madrid in the cup and Valencia in the league.
They had left-back Fabio Coentrao sent off eight minutes into the
second half, but nonetheless continued to dominate against an
Espanyol side without ambition or penetration.
The win left Real four points ahead of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid,
who will clash at the Camp Nou on Sunday.
Atletico are in better form than Barca, who are caught up in an
alleged rift between coach Luis Enrique and Argentine idol Lionel
Messi.
